Great GPS with big beautiful screen, February 29, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Garmin n�vi 3590LMT 5-Inch Portable Bluetooth GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates (Electronics) I briefly owned a Nuvi 3490LMT and found it to be a great GPS. Shortly after I purchased the 3490LMT this 5" model was announced. I returned the 3490LMT and ordered the 3590LMT that very day. I am pleased to report that the Nuvi 3590LMT is also a great GPS navigator.

Very nice GPS, March 1, 2012 By This review is from: Garmin n�vi 3590LMT 5-Inch Portable Bluetooth GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates (Electronics) I owned an old model (Nuvi 660) for several years. It was top of the line when it came out (I paid ~$350 for the Nuvi 660). I upgraded to this one and I am extremely impressed.
3D map detail is awesome (I have only seen terrain so far, no buildings... but it's cool), screen resolution is awesome, GUI is great, touch response is great, start-up is instant, satellite finding is fast... all big improvements over my old model. It is exactly what you would expect out of a $400 GPS.
I don't have an Android phone so I couldn't try the SmartLink app... looks like a cool feature though.

Bad sound like any cheap cell phone, painful mount keep dropping if you don't make sure it snapped properly. BTW release button is at the bottom if that touches the bottom unit drops. What irritates me it takes few try may be a drop or two of unit (thats not good) before unit snaps to the mount and you keep touching screen Ooops!!!! , it's not easy for me tho. Wait for price drop if you can :)
Updating: Wow, it has great voice command feature, just loving it :) You just need to speak "Voice Command", it activates, to exit just say exit :) so simple, it also worked with loud music on. If you follow this sequence its easy, like I was trying "Albertsons" for grocery it was not giving right results instead if you follow this example sequence it works great. Say:Voce Command --> Say:Grocery --> Say:Albertsons --> Say:Go --> Say:New Route !!DONE!! Hurray no need to touch screen :)
